Enjoy watching your favorite novelists, poets, chefs, and puzzle creators discuss their work? Interested in social justice issues, creating a better world, or penning your own great novel or book of poetry?

 

Patrons of Potomac Public Library can access Zoom events featuring nationally known artists and activists talking about their life’s work and how and where they find inspiration. These events are made possible through Illinois Libraries Present, a cooperative initiative that enables libraries of all sizes to offer high-quality Webinars with prominent people.

 

Some, but not all, events are recorded and posted on Illinois Libraries Present’s Youtube channel, Vimeo, or other platforms.

  • Novelist Silvia Moreno-Garcia, the author of Mexican Gothic and her latest book, Velvet was the Night
  • Attorney and romance novelist, Jasmine Guillory, author of The Wedding Date and her latest book, While We Were Dating
  • Actor, humorist, and woodworker Nick Offerman, author of the recent book Where the Deer and the Antelope Play: The Pastoral Observations of One Ignorant American Who Loves to Walk Outside
  • Chef Kwame Onwuachi, author of Notes from a Young Black Chef and more recently, My America: Recipes from a Young Black Chef
